This 1974 Commando Roadster has been fitted with the very desirable Interstate "Long Distance" fuel tank and corresponding side panels. As you can see, it sports a genuine Norvil front floating disc brake for amazing stopping power. New Avon tyres are fitted for superb handling and ride quality. The machine has been fully refurbished, taken down to the bare frame, powder-coated, the recommended head steady installed, replated and polished as needed and professionally painted in the most gorgeous Norton Red. A brand new seat was fitted. The engine is completely rebuilt, with Superblend lower end bearings, Megacycle #12 grind cam, Black Diamond valves, and the best of everything to make it the most smooth, powerful and reliable it can be. Braided steel lines are used where the stock plastic parts were known to fail. In the interest of one-kick starting, perfect idling at all temperatures, flawless running and minimal maintenance, a new 34mm Mikuni conversion was carried out, along with a TriSpark ignition module. The gearbox was rebuilt as well, and it shifts like new.
